Poetry Corner: Butterfly

Breaking out from my cocoon has been painful.

This beauty and color you see was formed from tragedy, loss, heartache and mistakes formed a chrysalis around me,

In which I evolved and transformed.

Submerged in the process of growth and change.

Eventually I broke free from what confined me,

Fluttered my colorful wings to grace the world with the essence of my presence.

Revealing beauty in the butterfly you see.

As rainbows come after the rain,

True beauty is formed from the survival of living beyond pain.
