Poetry Corner: Moments of Epiphany

I am leaving.

All I want is for him to tell me stay.

Instead he insincerely loves on me and walks away.

Facing cold truths, thinking bout living and loving beyond this.

Taking a flight on an epic trip,

leaving you behind, as a faded memory.

Hitting the restart to my heart,You played and I paused.

While I got the memo, you never seem to have a clue,

What we could be, never envisioned more with me.This truth is hard to believe and concede.

Were you just a fantasy to feel? Bitter boy I am not a toy.

I am a queen and I am real.

Christy Angelette

I am not who people say I am. I am who God says I am. A writer, a survivor, motivated by faith.
