The Anxiety Over Medical Marijuana

For those suffering from various forms of anxiety, PTSD to bipolar, depression and all the other diagnosis in between, who are tired of being limited by traditional drugs that leave you feeling empty and offer little relief, this is for you.

Medical marijuana is a natural grown plant that has a combination of chemicals that when inhaled or ingested can bring about healing and relief without numerous side effects that can leave one more depressed and anxious.

The TCH in low doses and CBD, also referred to as Cannabidiol, work well together as a natural and holistic medicine. It can be used effectively to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, Multiple sclerosis (MS), arthritis, epilepsy, chronic pain, Alzheimers– to just about anything.

Some studies have also suggested the legalization may also decrease prescription opioid use. A NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) funded study suggests a link between marijuana and fewer overdose from prescription opioid addiction.

The FDA (Food Drug Enforcement Administration) consider it to have no medical value and states that it is right up there with heroin and LSD. To do more research, scientists need approval and that is almost impossible to get.

The truth of the matter is most people would choose to self-medicate with marijuana than take a large quantity of various medications. The main reason is that they are being forced to take numerous drugs for one problem which results in the “zombie effect”.

These legalized FDA approved and preferred pharmaceutical drugs leaves most of its users in a numbed, depressive, unexpressive state of mind and being. While the most common side effects of the miracle plant are a pleasant euphoria, heightened sensory perception, altered perception of time and increased appetite. Some people; however, experience anxiety, fear or paranoia. So, like with any drug, it is not suitable for everyone.

All 50 states have not legalized the use of medical marijuana. The southern states are always the last to follow. Instead, they are slowly making the pill version containing CBD available to the public.  While Canada has recently approved the recreational use of the drug.

My take is the pharmaceutical companies and their pill pushing doctors don’t want to lose the large amount of revenue they bring in from their toxic and addictive legalized drugs. The FDA, pharmaceutical companies and doctors work hand in hand to monopolize the pockets and minds of our people. How can we unite and stop it? We have freedom of speech, why can we not have freedom to choose our own medical treatments?
